He led them to the very edge of the Forest. Holding his lamp up high he pointed down a narrow, winding earth track that disappeared into the thick black trees. A light breeze lifted their hair as they looked into the Forest.

Pottermore users have posted some beautiful pictures of the Forbidden Forest on Pottermore.com and we’ve seen some really interesting comments about what it would be like to visit it. The Forest is full of magical, mysterious and dangerous beasts, centaurs and unicorns amongst them, and we thought you’d enjoy seeing some of the pictures that Pottermore users have drawn of these two types of creatures.

Fang, Hagrid’s enormous black boarhound also makes an appearance in this chapter, and this slobbery, faithful and sometimes cowardly dog has inspired some wonderful artwork.

"Pottermore is a great site. You can duel and do potions and interact with the site in really cool ways. And you can read background info on the books (even though it's only Sorcerer's Stone so far) that have really interesting stuff on there. I only have a problem with not being able to interact with other members besides dueling, and that you can run out of activities pretty easily," says Fantasy. Her quote seems to reflect the views of the majority of those who expressed their opinion. When asked to rate Pottermore on a scale of one to ten (one being the worst, ten being the best), seven voters gave it an average number of seven.
Obviously, J.K. Rowling has worked her magical pen again, as Pottermore is a great source of behind the scenes information and magical fun. "...Pottermore was much more than I have expected. I was expecting it to be a forum where fans can gather from all over the place. But never did I expect it to be a visual novel with art so detailed, flash animation on the smallest things and even articles and special articles for us," says WolfBronze. Though Pottermore is clearly well put together, it seems that the majority of the community, including myself, feel that perhaps a chat room, or at least a way to talk to other Potter fans, should be added. This way, when we are waiting for more updates, we'll have something more interesting to do like chat withour fellow house members.
So, whether you agree or disagree with ideas or opinions expressed here, I think a general consensus, that Pottermore is great but could used some improvement, can be reached. So, what do you think? I'd love to hear more opinions.

Last week, we asked Pottermore users to give us examples of some of the house traits highlighted in the Sorting Hat’s song in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Gryffindors told us about their greatest acts of chivalry, and Hufflepuffs their greatest acts of loyalty. Ravenclaws showed off their wit, and Slytherins got the chance to demonstrate their cunning.
